π¨π¨ Now that IB exams have ended, many users make the mistake of uploading their exemplar coursework to Clastify to get a few bucks. Here is a detailed explanation as of WHY YOU SHOULD NOT DO THAT. π¨π¨
Clastify gives 7 dollars per paper but charges 10 for a one-month membership. So that's 3 dollars gained per paper. They have around 5k docs, so you do your own calculations.
Their page is slow as fuck, guess why? because it is loaded with a shitton of JavaScript analytics (you can have a look at the chrome console). Even when scrolling down in a document, you are getting tracked. This adds even more revenue, although we can't know how much.
Most of the older exemplars aren't reviewed at all, they just have a grade that was probably given by the students themselves. In the newer exemplars, they do add some nice corrections, but this comes with a limitation: you can't download any of that.
So, the damn premium license grants access to view all exemplars (but let's be honest, who views more than 50?), download ONLY 18 pdfs, and of course without corrections of any kind, just the plain document, and watermarked. You can't even select text on them. And of course, they frown upon sharing accounts or downloaded documents.
So what are students doing when, year after year, they submit their exemplars to Clastify? Increase their database more and more, make them get money for exemplars that they don't even review, make people pay for an exemplar that others might have viewed already, and set themselves as the only reliable IA exemplars repository out there.

Fixed SME Archive previously not working on Safari. It can now be opened on Apple devices without any issue.

β Note 1: Pushing changes to the online version is almost instant, but every time you want to get an updated offline version, you will have to redownload (unless you are handy with tech, then you can email us and we might set up a FTP that you can sync changes from).
β Note 2: Due to the way in which the page works, it WON'T work with a simple "open index.html". It will require to run a local server (don't worry, we'll make this very easy), meaning that it won't work on Android/iOS, only computers.

Fixed the infinite loop error! Now, if you open a page not found, it will simply redirect you to the homepage.

Need to fix the topic questions too but this should be fairly easy.
The newly obtained LitCharts from Reddit will be added to the repo soon, they aren't many.
We apologize for the inconveniences caused and beg your understanding. These are busy days for most.

Good news: SME Archive and Revision Town now have their own Tor mirrors too! π
This means the chance of a complete takedown is extremely small.

Ok, since many users reported they couldn't download it, we'll try to hurry up on fixing SME Topic Questions (halfway done) and classifying 2023-24 past papers by subject, in order to release the most updated version possible.

- Questions are split by parts just like on the website. If you want to quickly jump to questions, simply select all topics and Control + F to search the question number you want. For example, for Chemistry, searching "19M.2.SL.TZ2.5" will show you 9 hits, which correspond to parts A to D and their sub-parts.
- Chemistry has a topic called "empty-topic". This is because of a bug during the scraping of the questionbank, some pages didn't include the Syllabus section. Since we can't manually review 200+ questions, we added it as an empty one so you guys don't miss those questions.
